This is why science is always attacked by theists who posses this arrogance and extreme narcissism. Cognitive dissonance quickly occurs when their “knowledge” is challenged by any ‘slap of reality’ that comes there way. To claim that you know the existence of any deity and what their plans are is the illusion of knowledge. To claim that you can speak to said deity and that he/she/it answers back is the illusion of knowledge. To claim that you are created specifically by your god and that everything was created by him/her/it is an illusion of knowledge. Theists feel their ‘knowledge’ and ego is under attack when we talk about the fact that evolution is true for example. They can’t stand it! It goes against all that they believe. It challenges their skewed point of view of the world much as theists were disgusted to think that the Earth revolved around the Sun and not the other way around. We should never stop stressing the importance of education even if it gives theists headaches.

I bet I have some ancestors that were slaveholders and if I do… THAT MEANS ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY NOTHING! I am not responsible or should be held accountable for what my ancestors did or didn’t do and neither is Dawkins or anyone for that matter! This is so fucking childish.
